Sibu Jaya township is no longer a ‘pedalaman’ (rural area), said Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg.
“When I entered Sibu Jaya, it felt like entering another state because Sibu Jaya has undergone significant transformation.
About 10,000 participants thronged the Sibu Jaya Water Fiesta held at Sibu Jaya Boulevard here yesterday. The event, organised for the fourth time by Amcorp Group Sdn Bhd (Amcorp) in collaboration with the Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC), featured a variety of activities that drew in locals along with their families and friends.
